Barça legend Xavi says he has not signed anything with Al Sadd

Barcelona captain Xavi Hernandez has confirmed that he has still not signed any deal with Qatari club Al Sadd

SPORT were informed on Sunday that a deal was close, while photos appeared on Twitter and Instagram of the 35-year-old in Qatar. 

However, upon his arrival back in Barcelona, he said he has not signed anything and explained that he has a contracy with Barça until 2016. 

Xavi wanted to close the debate around his future, even though AL Saad have suggested a deal is nearly done, if not signed. 

They say they have offered a two year deal, with the option for another year, and the chance to take over former Real Madrid man Raul Gonzalez's role at the Aspire Foundation prepping players for the 2022 World Cup. 

Back in Barcelona, though, Xavi denied an agreement, preparing to focus on Sunday's trip to Celta Vigo.
