SER: Ronaldo to renew with Real Madrid until 2021

Cristiano Ronaldo will renew his contract with Real Madrid next week until 2021, according to Cadena Ser.

The talks are completely closed and it's now a case of waiting a few days for the Champions League final to pass before making it official. The renewal will be presented at a big event and it will mean the Portuguese star will end his career at Los Blancos. Madrid will also put the brakes on any speculation regarding Ronaldo's future before he leaves for the European Championships.

The 31-year-old already gave a nod towards his renewal in an interview on La Sexta on Wednesday. He joked that the club would be intelligent to give him a new deal. He already knew then that he had a pre-agreement with Madrid, although he couldn't say anything. The player will add one year to his current terms and will earn 20 million euros net per season.

There had been speculation regarding interest from Manchester United, while for weeks it's been rumoured he will sign for Paris Saint-Germain this summer. He has always denied those stories because he says he is happy in Madrid and, at his age, it's more than likely he will now retire from football at the Santiago Bernabeu.
