Aleix Vidal denies offering himself to Sevilla

The right-back has dismissed radio reports that he's looking for a return to the Sanchez Pizjuan

Aleix Vidal has denied information reported on Radio Marca Sevilla that claimed he’d phoned Sevilla’s sporting director Monchi about a potential return to the club in January

The Barcelona right-back wanted to make it clear that at no moment has he been in contact with Monchi, nor anyone at Sevilla for that matter, about a potential transfer in the winter window.

Remember that Radio Marca Sevilla reported earlier on Tuesday that the 27-year-old had contacted Monchi as he looks for a move away from Barça -- be that a loan or a permanent -- after falling out of favour with Luis Enrique.

His future at Camp Nou does not look favourable and it’s likely he will have to leave to find minutes. However, the player still wanted to deny the reports which surfaced on Tuesday.

The reality of the situation, though, is that he’s going through a very uncomfortable situation at Barca, both for the player and for the club. A January exit is probable: be that to Sevilla or another club.
