Reports: Aleix Vidal has phoned Monchi in search of Sevilla return in January

Radio Marca Sevilla say the full-back is keen to return to the club Barça signed him from in 2015. He has not played for Luis Enrique's side since the shock 2-1 defeat to Alaves at the beginning of September

Aleix Vidal’s days at Barcelona seem increasingly numbered. His future looks to be away from Camp Nou. In fact, according to ‘Radio Marca Sevilla’, the right-back has began to make moves as he looks for a winter transfer.

According to the cited media, Vidal has asked Monchi, Sevilla’s sporting director, to take him back to the Andalusian side, where he was playing when Barça signed him 18 months ago.

In recent weeks, several teams have asked Barça about Vidal’s situation. In concrete, Inter Milan have been the team to express the most interest in the Spain international. He still maintains the good reputation he developed at Sevilla.

However, the player’s priority, before looking at other offers, would be to return to Sevilla. As of today, though, that possibility is remote.

Jorge Sampaoli’s side have Mariano performing well at right-back. In addition, Gabriel Mercado has performed well there when needed to as well. Therefore, the right-back position is not a priority for Sevilla, although Vidal also played on the wing when he was at the Sanchez Pizjuan.
