Xavi Hernández, currently of Al Sadd and FC Barcelona legend, has been ruled out of Catalunya's match against Venezuela at the last moment. The midfield maestro was one of the biggest stars expected to be appear in the friendly match but unfortunately won't make an appearance.
Xavi, who was expected to receive a tribute ahead of the match, has told Gerard Lopez that he's picked up a minor injury and can't risk missing a crucial league match against Al Duhail next weekend.
His current side, Al Saad, are top of the table and lead Al Duhail by four points. If they claim victory at the weekend, it'll see them lift the Qatar League title for the first time in seven years.
Rayo Vallecano, Huesca, Valladolid haven't released their selected players due to the fact they are fighting to remain in LaLiga. Watford's Gerard Deulofeu won't join up either as his side want him to appear in training on Monday morning.
