Reports suggest Real Madrid are looking into the possibility of signing David Villa, who will leave New York City when his contract expires on Dec. 31.
Villa, who plans to continue playing when he leaves the MLS side, could join Los Blancos as the look to solve their problems in goal following the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.
At 36 (37 in Devember), Villa could be the player Madrid need in January, according to English newspaper The Sun.
They claim that Madrid value the ex-Barça man's experience and his eye for goal, although a poll suggests the club's supporters would be against the move.
Villa spent three years at Camp Nou, between 2010 and 2013, where he won two league titles and one Champions League.
He left Barça in 2013 for Atletico Madrid, where he won another title, before beginning his adventure in the United States.
