Young Santos striker Rodrygo is now a Real Madrid player. Rodrygo, who reached an agreement with Madrid and Santos weeks ago, as revealed by SPORT, will sign a contract at the Bernabeu until 2025.
However, he will continue at Santos until June 2019, before joining Madrid ahead of the 2019-20 season, six months after turning 18.
The official announcement of the transfer will be made on Friday at the Business Centre in Santos, with a press conference planned with the Brazilian club's president.
Madrid and Santos have agreed on a price of 45 million euros, although Santos will only received 40 million, which represents the 80 percent of Rodrygo's rights which they own.
Meanwhile, Rodrygo and his agents will earn 20 percent, although they have accepted to only receive five million, which is why the prcie is 45 million and not 50 million.
Madrid will pay 20 million now and the rest in installments. In the end, it's the same price that they have paid for Flamengo's teenage starlet Vinicius Jr.
