Real Madrid and Atletico are close to reaching a deal for Marcos Llorente per Deportes Cope.
The two capital sides have been negotiating for weeks and if there are no unexpected twists, in the coming days a deal will be sorted. Marcos Llorente knows that he will arrive as an express petition from coach Diego Simeone.
The 24 midfielder has been in Simeone's sights since he impressed at Alaves on loan two seasons ago. Simeone tried to sign him then but Madrid wanted him for the first team.
Atletico are getting him now with Rodri poised to join Manchester City for 70m euros, his release clause.
Llorente played 15 games last season and is not in Zinedine Zidane's plans.
