Real Madrid have officially confirmed the signing of Brazilian defender Eder Militao. This is what the statement from Los Blancos said: Real Madrid C. F. and FC Porto have agreed the transfer of Éder Militão and the player will sign on a six-year contract running until the 30th of June 2025." It didn't mention how much the deal would cost but Portuguese sources state it'll be the full 50 million euros stated in the player's release clause.
The defender, who will join in the summer, is 21 years old and is a full international with Brazil. Militao was named as the best defender in the competition for five consecutive matches. He has played in 34 matches for FC Porto and scored three goals.
Militao was previously signed from Sao Paulo where he played in the 2017/18 season.
The Brazilian becomes the first signing at Real Madrid since Zidane returned to the club.
