In less than a week Real Madrid have been knocked out of the running in three trophies. First of all, Barcelona knocked them out of the Copa del Rey, winning 3-0 at the Bernabeu. Then, Barça knocked them out of the La Liga title race, winning 1-0 at the Bernabeu this time to move 12 points ahead of them in the table (Atletico are second, seven points back). Two losses at home to their eternal rival. Finally, Ajax put the cheery on the cake. The Dutch side won 4-1 in Madrid in the Champions League.

Crisis for Los Blancos. The board are already planning for the future. Sooner or later, Santi Solari will be removed from the bench. Patience with the coach has run out and the Argentine's not been able to turn around an extremely complicated situation.

Names are already being linked: Jose Mourinho, Mauricio Pochettino, Jurgen Klopp... but the last of that trio, according to The Telegraph, will reject all offers which come his way from Madrid. Klopp is doing a sensational job at Liverpool. Last year they reached the Champions League final and this year they're truing to win their first ever Premier League title, vying with Manchester City for top spot.

Madrid's interest in Klopp is understandable, but going to the Bernabeu would mean abandoning a winning project. Liverpool remain in the Champions League as well as the Premier League title race. They face Bayern Munich next week with the score goalless after the first leg.
