Jonathan Barnett, the agent of Gareth Bale, has confirmed for the second time in as many days that the Welsh forward has no plans to leave Real Madrid on loan.

Bale is not in Zinedine Zidane's plans but Madrid are struggling to move him on, with a loan move to Bayern Munich written off by Barnett.

Bale doesn't want to leave. That's the reality at the moment. His agent called the Bayern reports "rubbish" on Monday and was more firm about it when asked by Sky Sports while attending Ascot on Tuesday.

"There's more chance of me winning at Ascot," he said. "A loan move is not going to happen. I don't think he wants to go out on loan. He's got a lovely life and home in Spain. I think it would take something exceptional for him to leave and loans are not on the menu."

"But, obviously, Gareth's situation at Real hasn't improved."

The main problem is Bale's sky-high salary and the fee Madrid would demand for him. Barnett said Manchester United could be an option but also suggested it's not on the cards.

"He could fit in there," he added. "I think he could do very well -- he is still one of the best players in the world. But it is very unlikely."
