Neymar does have a release clause at Paris Saint-Germain. There have been various reports in revent hours about how the Brazilian could leave the French club. Both Neymar and PSG have maintained their silence regarding the details of the contract. However, SPORT have been able to confirm the exact number and the concrete season written into Neymar's PSG clause.
Neymar PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi agreed an escape clause at the end of his third season in Paris. The football can open the door and leave in the summer of 2020, as long as a club is prepared to pay 215 million euros.
Despite reports elsewhere, the contract does not include any other figures or earlier seasons for a departure. Any attempt to sign Neymar which doesn't happen in 2020 for 215 million euros must be agreed with PSG in a friendly fashion.
Since last season, the rumours about Neymar's future have been constant. Real Madrid have always been at the front. President Florentino Perez has spent years trying to convince him to move to Los Blancos. For now, though, his desires have served for nothing.
