Duda, the Malaga captain, spoke on Friday ahead of his final game for the club on Sunday at La Rosaleda against Real Madrid. The Portuguese midfielder, 36, arrived in 2001 from Cadiz and has not been offered a new contract, with his current deal set to expire in June.
"I leave after wearing this shirt 300 times," he said. "I leave with the hapiness of having added my grain of sand in this club which was able to fight in Europe."
"I will stay linked to the club in one way or another," he added. "After my team-mates (Demichelis y Weligton) announced their goodbyes this week, it was my turn. The club are planning and they told me they aren't counting on me and there's no problem. All fine, I just have to stick to the path and give thanks to everyone for having had faith in me."
