Pep Guardiola has been left without left-back Benjamin Mendy for the rest of the season after he suffered a serious knee injury.
Man City's French defender had his ACL injury investigated by Ramon Cugat, the Catalan medic, in Barcelona.
On Friday he will take the operation and be ruled out for between six and eight monhs. Mendy, 23, therefore says goodbye to the season.
He cost the club 58 million euros this summer and now Guardiola's side are without a first choice left-back.
