Pep Guardiola says he backs Jose Mourinho after he was sacked by Manchester United.
The Man City coach, a former rival of Mou’s while the pair were at Barcelona and Real Madrid, spoke in the defence of the Portuguese coach.
"Well when it happens, I am always sad for the managers," Guardiola told Sky Sports. "We are alone, all the pressure is on our shoulders.
“So when that manager is in that situation it is no good, we are alone. It does happen. And you know what happens when you are sacked, it is because the results are not good.
"But of course he doensn’t need me, he is so strong. I wish him all the best and soon he is going to come back and we are going to play (against each other) again."
