Jose Mourinho will have a Catalan as as his chief scout at Manchester United. Javier Ribalta, who until this week had been working for Juventus, will join the Premier League club.
Ribalta's impressive work has not gone unnoticed by the Portuguese coach. It's not in vain that the Catalan was responsible for luring Paul Pogba to Juve from United, who last summer returned to Old Trafford for more than 100 million euros.
In the five years he's been working for Juve, the Old Lady have returned to the top level of European football, reaching two Champions Leage finals and winning Serie A eveyr season. One of his recent suggestions was Argentine Paulo Dybala.
"They have been some wonderful years, I've really enjoyed my work and I'm thankful to everyone, especially Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici for the faith they showed in me from day one," Ribalta said. "It was an incredible experience and it was a huge pleasure."
