Premier League champions Manchester City have finally left England for China after their pre-season trip was delayed two days running.
Their trip was set back 24 hours because of administrative errors by Thomas Cook and then delayed again because they had not been resolved.
A Thomas Cook Sport spokesperson said: “Due to an administrative error with third parties Manchester City’s flight with Aeronexus was delayed by two days. We have resolved this issue and the team have departed this morning.”
City are finally on their way to Shanghai. They will face West Ham in a friendly on Wednesday.
