Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez says he does not regret snubbing Barcelona when he moved to Europe at 19. The Colombian played for Nacional when he got the call from the Catalans.
However he told them he didn't want to come and is convinced he made the right call.
"Barcelona wanted me for their B team but I wanted to stay and win the Copa Libertadores," he told the Mirror. "After winning it, I didn't want to go to Barca B. I saw myself with the quality to play in a first team. Ajax wanted me for their first team squad."
Sanchez added: "It wasn't just Barca who wanted me, when I was 17 Sevilla came to find me. Valencia did at 18 and Villarreal at 19, just before Barca.
"Pochettino told me that Tottenham was a special place, a special club, who were working on a project that I wanted to be a part of."
