Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick as Paris Saint-Germain wrapped up the French title on Sunday and then struck a blow to Real Madrid's hopes of signing him.

The France forward, who has a contract in Paris, says he will remain where he is this summer despite the interest from Madrid.

"I'm staying at PSG," the youngster said after netting three times in the 3-1 win over Monaco as PSG, with Neymar back as a second half substitute following an injury, finally clinced the Ligue 1 title.

Talking to Canal +, Mbappe spoke of his fondness of Madrid but added: "I'm fully involved in PSG's project. I'm happy for Real Madrid that Zizou [Zinedine Zidane] has come back. I'll watch their games as an admirer."

With these comments, the chances of him joining Zidane at the Bernabeu this summer have reduced to zero. Florentino Perez was prepared to spend big money on the young sensation of European football.

France Football had claimed Madrid would offer 280 million euros for Mbappe, a player who they've always wanted and Zidane asked for in 2017. In the end, he didn't come. And that's not set to change soon.
