France striker Kevin Gameiro, scorer of Atletico Madrid's goal in the 1-0 win over Celta Vigo at Balaidos, said that he is not afraid of Diego Costa's arrival and he will keep fighting for a space in Diego Simeone's side.
"I know that I'm at a great team and there's a lot of competition. I'm not afraid of anything. We will compete to win a place in the first team. I'm not worried about that now, I am thinking about myself and my team," he said when asked about Costa.
Gameiro added that the Celta clash was "not the best game" but "the most important thing was to win."
"I'm very happy with the goal, now that I can play I can help the team. It wasn't the best game but we won, which was the most important thing. Celta attacked us a lot but we were able to defend well and that is our strength. But we need to combine more between us to play well and make chances."
