Villarreal went pass Valladolid on a hard-earned victory of 2-0 on Saturday at Estadio de La Ceramica. Villarreal wanted to continue adding points after winning away by a 0-3 victory against Leganés while Real Valladolid scored a 1 draw against Osasuna, adding a point in the last match played of the competition. At the moment, Villarreal is 3rd in the LaLiga table with 8 points from 5 matches, while Real Valladolid sits 13th with 5 points after 5 matches.
Both sides were struggling to produce anything in the first part and the teams went to the dressing room locked in a 0-0.
Villarreal took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Santi Cazorla 78 minutes in the game. Later, Villarreal scored again and increased their lead 2-0 thanks to a goal from Javier Ontiveros in the 89th minute just before the end of the second half, which saw the second half to a 2-0.
