Messi's now scored vs. EVERY South American country... except Argentina

Lionel Messi continues to make history with Argentina. The two goals he scored against Bolivia in his 26 minute appearance on Friday night made him the first Argentine to score at least one goal against all the South American national teams, with the exception of Argentina, of course.

According to MisterChip, Messi becomes the fourth South America to score against all nine rivals on the continent. That is at least one goal against Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The players to do it before the Barcelona star are no longer playing the game. The first to complete the feat was the Brazilian Zico, with a goal against Ecuador in 1981. Later, the Colombian Arnoldo Iguaran repeated the feat with a goal against Chile in 1991; Agustin Delgado (Ecuador) added his name to the list in 2004.

There have been 10 years since that Delgado goal, but now Messi has added his name to the very brief list of players to score against all possible CONMEBOL rivals.
