Former Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis has revealed that when his career as a player ends, he'll coach Brazilian side Flamengo.
The left back signed a contract with the club until 2021, when he will make the switch to the bench.
The 34-year-old player told Coluna do Fla, his team's website, that when he decided to come back to Brazil to wear his childhood club's shirt, the directors promised him a career as a coach.
"When I started to speak to Flamengo, in the negotiations one of the things that convinced me was that they offered me precisely that, this post-career plan," he explained.
Felipe started off at Figueirense in 2003-04, before moving to Ajax and Real Madrid Castilla, and later to Deportivo la Coruna (06-10). Then he signed for Atletico (10-14), Chelsea (14-15) and back to Atletico (15-19) before joining Flamengo.
