Everton are desperate to keep hold of Andre Gomes next season but the 'Toffees' are beginning to worry that he might opt to join Tottenham Hotspur instead. As revealed by SPORT, the Champions League finalists are ready to offer Barça a deal in the region of €30m to land the Portuguese midfielder. And the decision is now out of Everton's hands.
“He didn't have nothing new for me to say now. I am 100% sure when something is decided in his mind I will be one of the first people to know and this is the most important thing," is what Marco Silva told the media. This after he confirmed there was no update as to whether Gomes would remain at Everton next season.
“I know all the rumours around but the most important thing is what comes from Andre and what comes from our club, our board, is also important. But what comes from Andre is the most important thing for me at this moment."
Barça are looking to generate funds as they look to reinforce their squad ahead of next season.
