Fabián Ruiz is officially a Napoli player. This is what the 'Azurri' announced on their official website. The 21 year old will arrive in Naples after the club matched his €30m buyout clause to end his stay at Real Betis.
It was Carlo Ancelotti, the new coach at Napoli, who specifically asked for greater strength in the midfield area. Fabian arrives to add a bit more muscle as well as offer a goal threat.
The youngster came up through the youth academy at Betis and played 59 times for the senior side, scoring three goals and providing seven assists.
Betis wanted to thank Fabian for his commitment and attitude during his time at the club and wished him well for the future. "He's set a fantastic example since he joined the Betis academy at the age of eight. His effort, quality and 'Beticismo' has allowed him to take giant leaps forward and become one of the best young talents in football. This will always be your home, Fabian."
The player signed a five year deal with the Serie A side, earning €2.5m per season while he's there.
