Former Milan manager Allegri has won five Serie A titles in a row in Turin and four Italian cups but Europe's biggest prize has eluded him.

The Italians have lost in two finals -- against Barcelona and Real Madrid -- and were knocked out in the quarterfinals this year by Ajax.

After meetings with Juve chief Andrea Agnelli, the club and the coach have decided to part ways this summer, despite Allegri having a year to run on his contract.

"Massimiliano Allegri will not be on the Juventus bench for the 2019/2020 season," Juve said in a short statement on Thursday.

"The coach and the president, Andrea Agnelli, will meet the media together at tomorrow's press conference -- Saturday 18 May, at 2pm in the press conference hall of Allianz Stadium."

There are no clues about what the future could hold for the Italian coach, who leaves Juve in the hands of star player Cristiano Ronaldo as they look to appoint a new manager for next season.
