Gianluigi Buffon is seriously considering the possibility of playing for Parma next season, the club where he began his playing career almost a quarter of a century ago.
The veteran Italian goalkeeper, 41, is keen to continue playing and according to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' he could take a sentimental decision.
Parma was where the legend began. He joined the club at 13 and made his first-team debut as a 17-year-old. After five years, he left for Juventus, where he really made his name, along with for the Italian national team.
Buffon's been linked with various clubs since it was confirmed he would leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer. He has even been touted as a potential backup for Marc-Andre ter Stegen at Barcelona.
But at Parma, he would have a more important role. For now, there have been no negotiations, just a declaration of intent from the stopper and both parties are keen on the move. The prodigal son could return.
