One of the sagas of the summer is coming towards an end. Espanyol tried to renew striker Borja Iglesias's contract, per Voz Perica, but the forward said no, as he wants to move to Real Betis.
His release clause is currently 28 million euros and Espanyol wanted to raise it.
Iglesias wants to link up again with coach Rubi, who left Espanyol for Betis this summer and is trying to sign the forward. Espanyol have just referred the Andalusian side to Iglesias's release clause.
However in the next few days it seems Betis will finally get their man, known as the Panda. He arrived from Zaragoza and was one of the revelations of last season, hitting 23 goals in total.
