Samuel Umtiti is still injured after suffering a left knee problem and did not take part in the game against Athletic Bilbao at the weekend. He is not in the squad to face Tottenham either - but that's because he was suspended anyway.
Everton defender Kurt Zouma could be called up by France to stand in for Umtiti in their games against Iceland and Germany on October 11 and 16 respectively.
Didier Deschamps will publush his squad list Thursday, while Man City's Aymeric Laporte and Borussia Dortmund's Abdou Diallo have also been linked with replacing Umtiti.
However Zouma is the strongest rumour. The 23 year old was on the reserve list for France's World Cup bid and has not been called up properly since September 2017. However he is having a good season with Everton.
