Yerry Mina's transfer away from Barcelona is reaching its final stretch: he'll either join Everton or Manchester United. Barça and the player have a proposal on the table from Everton but nothing has been signed at the moment. The reason behind this is the English side have been told to up their €30m - plus €4m in variables - offer. The latest news is that Manchester United have opened talks with the Colombia defender's entourage in case they decide to sign Mina. The transfer market closes earlier in England so any negotiations currently in progress need to move faster.
Barça and Mina both expect Everton to come back with an improved offer. The English club will wait until the end of the transfer window for the Colombian because everything is dependent on what United do. At the moment they've discarded the opportunity to sign Alderweireld because they couldn't reach an agreement with Tottenham and they're at a similar point with Maguire and Leicester City. Their 'Plan C' is Mina.
Barcelona rejected the €30m (plus €4m in variables) from Everton so the offer from United would need to be higher than that. Barça are hopeful they will be able to bring in the best part of €40m for Mina.
