Sevilla's qualification for the Europa League means the Spanish Super Cup dates have to be changed from August 11 and 14, because they will need to play in a qualifying phase. Those games would be on Thursday 9 and 16.
The Andalusians, as cup runners up, are set to play league and cup champions Barcelona in the Spanish curtain raiser, and now those dates are set to be moved to the 5th and 12th of August. The first leg at the Sanchez Pizjuan, and the return at Camp Nou.
That is set to be approved next Thursday, May 17, at a Football Assembly meeting.
