Inter Milan are serious about their interest in signing Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic. Italian outlet 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' has revealed the figures the club are prepared to offer the Croatian to move to the San Siro. He would sign a deal until 2022 on a salary of 6.5 million euros net per season.
According to the report, Rakitic would earn one million euros more than he currently does at Barça and would have the chance to play in a league he was twice close to joining in the past: in 2007 before he went to Schalke when Juventus wanted him and in 2011 when Milan wanted to sign him before his move to Sevilla.
On a personal level, Rakitic will also weight up some important aspects. His partner, Raquel Mauri, would be delighted to live in Milan, a city big on fashion. He would also be closer to Basel -- around 300kms away -- which is where his parents live.
The conditions for the player are positive, but Barça coach Ernesto Valverde remains reluctant to losing the midfielder.
