Marlon Santos is a step away from completing his move to Premier League side Southampton. The English club will pay Barcelona 12 million euros, as first revealed by SPORT lasr week.
Barça allowed Marlon to move on a two-year loan to French side Nice last season but recalled him early following interest from the Premier League.
West Ham were initially the favourites to sign the Brazilian but they backtracked on an agreed price, opening the door for Southampton to swoop in.
Marlon joined Barca from Fluminense last summer for five million euros after an impressive season with Barça B ended with two first team appearances.
However, the competition for a first team spot is too strong and Barça decided to cash in on the centre-back, who will play in England next season.
