Manchester United want to sign a forward in January. According to The Independent, coach Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has asked for two players and they could not have much different profiles: Ousmane Dembele and Mario Manduzkic.
Solskjaer wants to add to his attack after losing Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez (both to Inter) in the summer and failing to replace either of them. Injuries, therefore, have left them short, with Martial and Rashford both missing games.
After the weekend's 2-0 loss to West Ham, Solskjaer and executive vice president Ed Woodward met to discuss signings in the winter.
The coach feels the team needs to add more firepower upfront. After the name of Mandzukic, who was also a target in the summer, the name Dembele came up, although The Independent say a deal for the Barcelona man will be tough due to his elevated price tag.
Dembele, who returned from a hamstring injury against Villarreal on Tuesday, has still not found a regular place at Camp Nou. The ex-Borussia Dortmund winger has had some great games but injuries have held him back.
