France defeated Croatia 4-2 in the World Cup final and this sees Barcelona's squad come home with two gold medals as Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembele were part of France's winning squad.
Both the defender and forward collected their medals at the World Cup Final ceremony but the two had very contrasting roles for France. Umtiti was a trusted starter for Didier Deschamps while Dembele barely played at all. The forward failed to take the opportunities handed to him and has spent more time on the bench than he'd originally hoped.
As for Umtiti, he was a key part of France's defensive line and it was his goal against Belgium which secured his country's place in the World Cup final.
Alongside those two gold medals, Barça will also have a silver medal holder in Ivan Rakitic. The Croatians were runners up in Russia after a fantastic tournament. And lastly, there's also a Barcelona player who took home a bronze medal: Thomas Vermaelen with Belgium.
