Barcelona defender Pique missed the session because of flu, though, not because of the knee problem which troubled him in February.

The rest of the 23 players called up by Lopetegui were in action at the Ciudad del Futbol in Madrid, with the week ending with a game against World Champions Germany on Friday in Dusseldorf.

Pique's absence was the main news as Dani Parejo, Marcos Alonso and Rodri Hernandez, all called up for the first time, trained with their international teammates.
