Manchester City are reportedly ready to battle Barcelona for the signing of Antoine Griezmann, who has confirmed he will leave Atletico Madrid this summer.
Barça seem best placed to land him, although his refusal to join them last summer angered many supporters and could lead the club to have doubts over doing a deal.
Meanwhile, Paris Saing-Germain met with Griezmann's agent and sister, Maud, but are not likely to be the French star's destination.
City have now appeared on the scene as they look to find a replacement for Sergio Aguero. According to the Manchester Evening News, Pep Guardiola's side are prepared to pay his release clause when it drops to 120 million euros on July 1.
Bayern Munich have also been an option, but are thought to be behind Barça, City and PSG in this particular race.
