FC Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu spoke to Monica Terribas on Catalunya Radio and the first thing he did was address the Antoine Griezmann situation.
“Out of respect for Atletico Madrid” he did not want to speak too much about the Frenchman. “Griezmann has a current contract and for that I should not speak about it,” said Bartomeu. “Right now the season has not finished, we have to keep fighting for titles and until July 1 we cannot talk.”
When that date arrives “we will start to talk about improving a great squad that has won a league and Copa del Rey title. We will see the work that in these months Pep Segura, Bakero and all of Valverde’s team has done.
“Until that date we know a lot of names will appear but we want to respect all clubs and players fully. It’s a World Cup year and names will come out before and after.”
