Inter Milan will return for Rafinha in January. After refusing to take up their option to buy him in the summer due to Financial Fair Play rules, the Brazilan did pre-season with Barcelona. He was "disappointed" that the Italian club were unable to push through the 35 million euro deal despite qualifying for the Champions League.
The Spanish-Brazilian midfielder shone in the summer for Barça, playing regularly and contributing in the Spanish Super Cup against Sevilla, when he started. Since then, though, he has not played and it seems Ernesto Valverde does not count on him -- despite not allowing him to move to Real Betis on deadline day.
Now, Calciomercato say Rafinha is on the table for Inter again. He would add the quality needed in midfield, especially if they get out of their Champions League group, which also features Barça.
The 25-year-old has never hidden his disappointment at not finalising a return to the San Siro. He has also made it clear he wants to play regular football -- "be that at Barça or elsewhere." The reports out of Italy suggest he is not keen on extending his deal at Camp Nou, which expires in 2020.
