Inter Milan want to secure the transfer of Barcelona right-back Martin Montoya. Dani Alves's renewal and the signing of Aleix Vidal complicates the situations of both Montoya and Douglas at Barça. Neither player has had chances to play this season and with Vidal on board that is not likely to change in the next campaing.
It's not strange, therefore, to imagine that sooner or later there will be some movement. In the case of Montoya, Inter Milan have called at the door of both the player and of FC Barcelona. They are interested in doing a deal, but the release clause is currently a problem. Montoya's contract runs until 2018 with a buyout of 10 million euros.
Montoy's agent, Juan Dios Carrasco, has said in Italy that "in the next week we will talk with Barcelona. Obviously Martin wants to continue. Inter is a good destination. They are a great club, but we will wait to talk with Barcelona to find out what their opinion is."
