Denis Suarez and Rafinha Alcántara are in similar positions. Both are recovering from injuries -- the latter's much worse -- and are aware they must find new clubs this summer if they want to play.
There's no space for them in the Barcelona team and their priority is to enjoy their football.
The Galician has returned to Barcelona early from his Arsenal loan spell with an injury. He is now in the recovery phase. That is his focus at the moment. But he has one eye on the future. His contract runs until 2021.
Valencia is one option. Marcelino is a coach that believes in him. They worked together at Villarreal. The midfielder played wide in his 4-4-2. Denis was happy at El Madrigal, but the option to return to Camp Nou proved too big for him to turn down.
Denis may also have options aborad. Sarri wanted him when he was at Napoli and, if he continues at Chelsea, Stamford Bridge may be an option.
The situation with Rafinha is a little different to Denis'. The Brazilian is recovering from a long-term injury, which makes it difficult to find a new team -- especially with his injury history.
Rafinha has a contract until 2020. A loan, therefore, is not an option. That said, renewing his deal by an additional year -- as Barça did with Denis -- is an option.
Rafa just wants to find a team where he can play and be happy. There's been interest from Italy (Inter) and England (West Ham) but Spain may be more likely. Real Sociedad, Real Betis and Celta Vigo are all on the table.
