In the middle of the rumours about Arsenal's interest in Ousmane Dembele, the club's head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, has praised the French forward, who he discovered when he was working for Borussia Dortmund.
Mislintat, who's already recruited three ex-Dortmund players (Sokratis, Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang) at Arsenal has now set his sights on Dembele.
"I saw him wehnhe had not even played for Rennes in the first team," Mislintat explained. "I bet he did not know which foot he used in certain situations because he just did not think about it."
He compared him with Shinji Kagawa, who is also two footed: "I felt this is a really special player. Kagawa was one of them, too. We were in Japan twice. No one could stop him. With one movement, he changed the whole direction of the game."
Finally, Mislintat defended the player's exit from Dortmund: "The transfer was done by the directors, not because of a strike. It's true that Ousmane didn't go to training, but the skill to develope strategies and explode into space on the pitch was worth it's weigth in gold."
After lauding the Frenchman, who he labbelled a player "who makes the difference," we will see if Arsenal test Barça's resolve in January or the summer.
