Antoine Griezmann's future at Atletico Madrid remains up in the air and according to information that keeps appearing, the France striker is closer to moving clubs than he is to staying at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Journalist Quique Guasch said on Catalunya Radio that ther was a recent meeting between directors from Barcelona and Maud Griezmann, the player's sister and agent.
Quique Guasch added that a contract for five years is being prepared for Griezmann and the club are preparing to pay his 100 million euro release clause.
After a winter of upheaval after it emerged Griezmann had held meetings with Barcelona, which led to Atletico filing a complaint against the Catalan club, the Madrid outfit made a counter offer to Griezmann asking him to renew his contract.
The figures they put up were an attempt to secure Griezmann's future, although he will only say that he wants to sort out his future before the World Cup starts in June.
Atletico said they needed an answer to their offer by 30 April, but the player hasn't given one, and when he was recently asked about it, he only responded: "I don't know, we'll see."
