Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan was left in awe of Lionel Messi after Barcelona beat his side 5-0 at the Benito Villamarin on Sunday.
Talking to Cadena SER after the game, he said: "Messi demonstrates in every game that he not just one of the best, but the best in the history of the game.
"He’s spectacular. In the first half he wasn’t really involved, it seemed as if he was walking… but then he gets four balls, scores two goals and provides two assists. It's Messi and you have to congratulate him because he makes the sport better."
On the game, the former Real Madrid stopper added: "We were good for 60 minutes, until the first goal, playing bravely, winning the ball back and having chances. After the first goal, we dipped. And in the end, the effort caught up with us."
