FC Barcelona have officially confirmed this Wednesday that the first team will play the second part of their preseason in the United States. Both matches will be against Italian side Napoli.
Barça will first head to Japan to take on Chelsea and later Andres Iniesta's Kobe Vissel.
Once those two matches are over they'll head to the US to take part in the LaLiga Serie A Cup against Carlo Ancelotti's Napoli.
The first of the two matches against the Italians will be on the 7th August in Miami's Hard Rock Stadium. Three days later the sides will meet again, this time at the Michigan Stadium, an arena which holds an incredible 107,000 supporters.
With this upcoming summer's mini-tour it'll represent the third consecutive year Barça have played a part of their preseason on North American soil.
The club confirmed the decision to return to America is to increase its global brand over there as the sport's popularity continues to grow.
Josep Maria Bartomeu was delighted to confirm Barça's double appearance across the Atlantic. "Visiting the United States and being able to get closer to our fans is always a great thing for Barça. On top of that, we will also have the chance to play at two iconic stadiums: the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, where in 2017 we played the La Liga Clásico (against Real Madrid), and at the Michigan Stadium, the largest in the United States. Whilst there, we hope to put on a show and entertain our American fans with our style of play."
