Everton manager Marco Silva has confirmed that they're interested in signing Barcelona full back Lucas Digne this summer. Silva was speaking in Portugal following Everton's loss to Porto in a preseason tournament.
"The English transfer market appears to be easy but it isn't. Some players have been identified but others must arrive sooner. Richarlison and Digne? We're interested in them and hope they can reinforce our squad. We'll see what happens in the next few days," said Silva in the mixed zone.
Everton and Barcelona have been in contact throughout the summer and Silva will be hoping that an agreement is reached soon so he can begin work with his new squad. Barça are asking for €16m but Everton feel €10m is a fair price for someone who didn't play too often at the Camp Nou last season.
If a transfer isn't agreed soon, Digne will board the plane with his Barcelona teammates for the tour of the United States.
