Barcelona have good reports on Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen, one of the most interesting players on the market at 25. For him, knowing that Barcelona are following his growth is not just flattering, but great news.
In an interview with 'Ekstra Bladet', Eriksen admits his desire is to play at a big club and to fight for the biggest trophies. One of those clubs is Barcelona, who could be interested in signing him this summer.
"I still have a contract with Tottenham for a few more years and there are always rumours in football," the Danish international said.
"I've been [at Barcelona on trial as a teenager] at one point and it didn't work out too well. But Barcelona is a fantastic club -- I don't think there a lot of players who would say no to them.
"But there is 'interest' and then there is concrete interest. Until there is some concrete interest, I don't have an opinion about it."
With a contract in London until 2020, Eriksen added of his career aims: "In the future I see myself at the highest level. That's what I dream about. That could be in two to three years.
"It could be at a different club or it could be at Tottenham, if we have got all the way to that level."
