Frenkie de Jong has given an exclusive interview to SPORT this Friday where he spoke about his first days at FC Barcelona, as well as revealing his first memories of the club.
De Jong explained that the team he admired the most as a youngster was Pep Guardiola's Barcelona. "I always loved to watch them." He hailed the influence of Johan Cruyff at both Ajax and his new club.
The Dutch midfielder spoke about how he found the dressing room at Barça and his vision for the future at the club.
De Jong was happy to answer any questions, including about potential new arrivals and how he felt when his best friend Matthijs de Ligt decided to sign for Juventus. He also spoke about his relationship with Ernesto Valverde and the role he expects to have in the team.
