Chelsea have rejected offers from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid for Willian, who is currently at the Copa America with Brazil, according to Sky Sports. Barça and Atletico's bids for the midfielder are said to have been worth around 40 million euros.
The Blues do not want to lose Willian having already sold Eden Hazard to Real Madrid. He is out of contract next season and Chelsea know the 30-year-old could leave for nothing, but with a possible transfer ban have decided they are prepared to take the risk.
They will take the risk because, at the moment, he remains a key player within the squad. After the loss of Hazard, it would be tough to lose another attacking player.
According to Sky Sports, Barça and Atletico's bids were both swiftly knocked back by the Premier League side.
