Barça beat Vissel Kobe 2-0 thanks to a brace from Barça B star Carles Perez. He scored the first one after a one-two with Malcom, who also looked bright in his 45-minute spell, and finished the contest with a finish from a tight angle.
"Dembele is an incredible player and I think he's going to be a very important player for the team this season. He's electric and unsettles the opposition," confessed fellow youngster Perez.
"I'm here to take advantage of the opportunities hand ed to me. At the moment, I'm a B player. We don't know what will happen but I'm going to keep doing my job, helping the team."
When asked whether the arrival of Antoine Griezmann would hinder his chances for being promoted to the first team, Perez said: "If you work hard and do well out on the pitch, good things will come your way. It's clear that to be the best team in the world you have to sign the best players."
On the departure of youngsters from La Masia in recent years, Perez was clear about his own position. "It's clear in my mind that I want to stay here. It's about being patient, not changing everything and leaving at the first chance. Since I was a child I've been a Barça fan and I want to be part of the first team here."
